"DATUKALUNDIDI’ AND
PUDUKBALENGKARE"
One day there was a handsome boy, a rich man’s
son went to a forest. He arrived at a house where there were two girls lived,
they are Datukalundidi’ and Pudukbalengkare. Datukalundidi’ had white skin and
she was beautiful, while Pudukbalengkare had dark skin. The boy was interested
in Datukalundidi’. He came back to tell his parents and they agreed wit their
son’s wanted. Then, people were delegated to take datukalundidi’. The plan that
Datukalundidi’ would have married by the rich boy, had been known by
Pudukbalengkare. She thought the way in order that she who would be married by
the rich boy. While Datukalundidi’ sawed, suddenly her sewing needle fell of
cellar. She asked to Pudukbalengkare to
take the sewing needle, but Pudukbalengkare told a lie that she didn’t see it.
Then Pudukbalengkare got on the house and Datukalundidi’ got off cellar to look
for the sewing needle. While Datukalundidi’ was in the cellar, Pudukbalengkare
took some water that was black and then pouring down so striked Datukalundidi’s
body and her body was dark.
When the messanger came to take Kalundidi’, Pudukbalengkare wrapped her body with white cloth so she was carried, while Datukalundidi’ was asked to follow them while bringing ’’Sepu’’ and carried sharpener stone. When they were on the way, Datukalundidi’ hummed that “Datu was who brought ‘Sepu’ and carried sharpener stone”. At the time, it was raining heavily in front of them and it was sunny in their back. Then Datukalundidi’ was asked to move into the front. She hummed again that “Datu was who brought Sepu and carried sharpener stone”. Then the weather was changed again, it rained in their back while it was sunny in the front. A few times later, then arrived in the boy’s house. Pudukbalengkare was asked to get on the house and Datukalundidi’was allowed in the yard.
One day Datukalundidi’ who regarded as Pudukbalengkare, she was asked to take water in the well. At the time, Acrow came to her and said to her “Gak, gak, fell into the water and paid homage three times into the north and into the south in order that your dark skin would been last. This advice was done by Datukalundidi’and it was true…..her body be white again. So, she got on the cottage that near to the well and the cottage looked like shine. At the time,the boy came to the well to take a bath and saw the shine/light from the cottage where Datukalundidi’ sat. He was surprised and shocked because at the time he realized that was Datukalundidi’ who he saw. Then he take the girl ugot became and married her.
Pudukbalengkare who was a liar, was caught and her body was stabbed until death. She buried and be fungus. The fungus was taken and cooked as pig’s food/meal. The fungus boiled in the working pot and heard a voice who said “I am Pudukbalengkare I am who is cooked be pig’s meal”.
